Stayfilm is a social network that allows anyone to produce and share movies with soundtracks, effects and cinematic quality, created from the automatic selection of photos and videos of social networks and personal files. The users can use our website or download our app on the App Store, Google Play or Windows Phone Store.

Le projet

The Stayfilm was launched in order to allow people to share stories in a fast and innovative way. The platform, which uses photos and videos provided by users, offers the possibility of automatically produce movies with cinematic soundtracks and visual effects in a quick and easy way.

The production takes about two minutes. First, the user writes the name of the movie and indicates the social networks in which the photos and videos that will be filtered by keywords. It is also possible to upload the contents from the computer or mobile devices. After that, the user just has to select one of the styles available – in each style there are several potential movies – and at the end of the process, watch and share the film within or outside Stayfilm. The interface and navigation of Stayfilm was designed to provide an intuitive and visually interesting experience. From the design to the effects of the movies, the construction of the social network was made following an innovative visual concept, which aims to provide people various possibilities to publish their stories. At the platform, the user has a profile to produce, manage and share movies with friend’s contacts.

Imagine that you have hundreds or thousands of photos and videos from your trips, your birthday parties or any other great moment and due to their volume or lack of time you don’t share them with your contacts. Stayfilm, which uses both photos and videos provided by users, offers the possibility of automatically produce movies with cinematic soundtracks and visual effects in a quick and easy way.

Our biggest challenge is to break the paradigm about creating high quality films in a fast way and with great results. Stayfilm is not a video editor in which the user has got to go through endless options and steps to complete the video. We have simplified the process and made it available for free.

Also we have developed a system in which your photos and videos are selected automatically from the user’s main social profiles and mixed up together, without the need to open all of them and choose the contents manually. The user only needs to write a few keywords that appear in the photo albums or comments and our system will find those photos and bring them together to produce the film.

La solution

With a great viralization potential, mass audience and public segmentation, Stayfilm has its business model based on advertising. In addition to traditional online advertising, Ad Networks and Ad Exchange managed by Predicta, Stayfilm works with advertisers and agencies to develop special projects.

We create a new reverse product placement advertising format for brands in which the contents of the user become part of the brand’s universe in a subtle way. We call them Sponsored styles, they are videos that reflect the look and mood of the brand, users who identify with the brand’s values and look can share their personal stories and experiences with these videos.

This kind of personal contact with the brand has proven to be very positive for both brands and users, the latter feel like the brand has given them a sophisticated yet free service to share their stories.
We have developed special projects and sponsored styles for clients such as Disney, Radio Disney Brazil, Rock in Rio, Durex and other.

L'impact

In 2014, we launched the Mobile App on Web Summit (Ireland), we were the only Brazilian startup present in the START area, with the 100 new companies selected with the highest growth potential in the world. Now, the users can use the website or download app on the App Store, Google Play or Windows Phone Store.

Many stories have been shared on Facebook, Twitter or whatsapp. More than 280,000 films have been produced, more than 200,000 users on the platform and more than 160 countries already accessed without the need of advertising or campaigns.

And as a consequence, a collaborative content social network has been created where anyone, anywhere in the world can share their life moments through films.

In addition, we always develop new movies for the styles and constantly we provide special styles. In February 2015, we launched the Carnival Style and the Stayfilm got highlighted in the App store for three consecutive weeks.

Déploiement international

Stayfilm has users in more than 160 countries. The main ones are United States, United Kingdom, Portugal, Canada and France.
